Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
Little LUNA is going to be the light of her forever family's life for sure! This girl is fabulous with other dogs and ADORES children! She is the perfect age just over a year old...past the annoying puppy antics but ready to make a lifetime of memories. LUNA is quite the well behaved lady to be so young. She has nice house manners, knows to go potty outside, and is good in her crate when her foster mom isn't home. She hasn't spent time around cats in her foster home, but if the perfect family has feline members that's no problem! We are more than happy to introduce her to kitty cats and send video once your application is processed and approved. LUNA loves to go on car rides to anywhere and is a petite 45 lbs so she is ready to accompany you on all of life's adventures! Little Lady LUNA's forever family is going to be lucky lucky lucky for sure.
LUNA is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
Her $450 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and cost of transport to the Midwest area once she is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
