Calvin's Story...
This litter of pups are so adorable...they've had a rough start in life but things are definitely looking up! These puppies are so social and happy now and adjusting very well in their foster home. Poor Calvin appears to have had his ears cut off....it didn't affect his personality and we think it makes him even more special!! The pups are about 10 weeks old and have had two sets of puppy vaccines, kennel cough vaccine, been spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed and have had their flea/tick and heartworm prevention. If you'd like to add one of these beautiful pups to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application. The pups are in foster care in West TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Staunton Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
