About Eastern Animal Rescue and Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Eastern Animal Rescue and Sanctuary rescues dogs and cats in Eastern North Carolina. Although we do not have our 501c3 all of our donations and everything we do is to help animals. We rescue animals from shelters, take in owner-surrenders and rescue any other animals in need. We mainly rescue cats and kittens however, we always have a few dogs available for adoption.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Donations can be made to Austin Veterinary under Eastern Animal Rescue or donated on PayPal at Donations on PayPal can be labeled what you want them to go to.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster based rescue and there are no set times or dates on when we are "open". Since animals are in foster homes all over ENC you must set up an appointment with EARS to meet an animal. Adoption events are something we would love to do in the future when time allows but currently we do not do adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees for most dogs are $150. Dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, HW tested and UTD on shots. Cat adoption fees are $75. Cats are UTD on shots, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Fees are reduced for long term residents and older residents. There is an application and a home check required to adopt from EARS. A contract does apply upon adoption and the adoption fee must be paid in full to adopt. Requirements for animals vary depending on the animal. We just want to make sure every animal gets a forever home.
