My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

2/25/17 - ADOPTION PENDING!!!

Willow is a 2 to 3 year old kelpie x Australian cattledog cross. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a tall, lean, athletic girl. She either has a docked or natural bob tail.

See Willow's video here: https://vimeo.com/197956754

We asked Willow's foster mom to write her bio for us. Here is what she says:

Willow is an ANGEL of a dog. She is undemanding and well behaved, yet she has SO much to give. I adore her.

Yes, she is housetrained. She has never had a single accident and always whines when she needs to go out and is quite insistent so you KNOW she needs something.

She is also crate trained. I always give her a treat to go in and she happily does so. Even though Willow doesn’t get car sick and rides well in her crate in the car, she isn’t anxious to load up. She seems nervous as if she hasn’t ridden much before.

Willow gets along with other dogs and enjoys playing, as you will see in her video. She is a little too intense for us to be comfortable with saying she is okay with cats.

She very rarely chews on inappropriate things—she will sometimes pluck tufts of yarn out of one of the dog beds, but never destroys anything. She will quietly chew on a bone or antler for hours.

She’s very athletic—she’s tall, and very graceful and fast. Would probably do well at agility or anything once she bonded with someone and figured out what they wanted of her. She is a fairly energetic girl, but settles well when indoors.

Also, Willow is a quiet dog that rarely barks. If the other dogs are barking she will sometimes let out one or two, but for the most part we never hear her.
She hasn’t had a lot of obedience training, but has learned to sit nicely for a treat and is getting better about not pulling on leash.

She is just one absolutely awesome dog.

Willow's adoption fee is $200 and includes spay, vaccinations, microchip, collar and ID tag. If interested in possibly adopting Willow, complete an application located here: http://www.adoptapet.com/IDAWG/adoption-application/

Thank you for considering adoption!
