Important Note

Blossom is best friends with Flower. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Blossom is 4.5 and has a sister named Flower. They are bonded, but we aren't opposed to separating them as they may thrive being separated. They were rescued from Odessa, Texas High kill shelter. They are good with respectful kids. They were living in a home where they were allowed to do as the pleased so they will need a strong leader, who has patience. They have been at the shelter a week and have come such a long way! They are pee pad trained, and crate trained. They are super sweet and just want love and affection, all with time and patience. They need to work on socialization as they were deprived of that in their previous home! They are good with smaller dogs, no large dogs and no cats!

About Brass City Rescue Alliance

About Our Rescue Group...

We aim to get as many dogs and cats adopted as possible via our rescue. We have our own shelter and also several feline foster homes to lovingly care for our animals prior to placement. We provide veterinary care, behavioral assessments and training to make each animal successful in its new forever home.

During warmer months we collect food, toys and other needs for the impounded dogs and the rescued/adopted dogs. We also collect items for the dogs we rescue as well as vetting donations for their care while in rescue. We network for dogs at local shelters and lend a hand to our rescue friends whenever we can. We also advocate for the well being of the dogs and their living conditions and strive to better improve the long standing customer service issues at the Waterbury Dog Pound as well as other shelters. We also help the public with questions, training, referrals/paying for veterinary care etc. Through constant media promotion and proper assessments of the dogs, we hope to save as many lives as possible in our day to day mission.

This RESCUE group is CT registered and has APPROVED 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service. All donations to Brass City Rescue Alliance are tax deductible.

Organizations that meet the requirements of Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) are exempt from federal income tax as charitable organizations. In addition, contributions made to charitable organizations by individuals and corporations are deductible under Code section 170.

Our Adoption Process...

When a potential adopter is interested in adopting a dog from BCRA, they must fill out an adoption application. The application will be checked within 48 hours and our Adoption Coordinator will email you (please check your spam box!) We will need you to provide a Vet reference, 2-3 personal references (non-family) and will schedule a home check visit about 14-21 days after adoption. This allows us to not only check on how you're all adjusting to one another, but to also address any concerns that you have. We will never leave you in the lurch and will always be there to guide you with your dog/cat. We love them too!

The adoption fee donation will apply.

** Please note that we often receive several applications for each animal. It's best match, not first come first serve. We let the dog chose it's owner as well. Please do not be offended if declined for a particular dog. We will do everything in our power to find the perfect match for you or refer you to another rescue/shelter. Thank you. **
