My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi hi hi! My name is CJ and I am a 5 year old Quaker parrot, also known as a Monk Parakeet. I am very sweet and I just love love love to cuddle. I really enjoy being scritched on my head! Did you know that our head is really the only place that you should scritch a parrot? (it's ok to pet our feet too). If you scritch us anywhere else, you are telling us you want to have babies with us, which is obviously impossible.

My favorite place to be is right on your shoulder! I will give you kisses, copy your cough and sneeze, laugh and even whistle the theme to Andy Griffith, even though I'm not old enough to remember that show. Once I get to know you, I will step up out of my cage and onto your hand and I will even step off your shoulder and back onto your hand without nipping..but..I do have to get to know you first.

One thing I do need to mention is that I am not really fond of the little humans, I think you all refer to them as children. I would be better off in a home with adults only.

The nice vet gave me a clean bill of health except I am still on a seed diet. My foster parents are trying to convert me to pellets. I am pretty quiet most of the time but I do love the attention and I will squawk if I feel as though I am not getting enough of it.

I can live to be around 30 years old and I would so love to spend those years in my forever home, with people who love me, who I can love back. Could you be them? Would you please come meet me so we can find out?

While you are making plans to meet me, I could sure use some stuff from my Amazon wish list. Here is the link:

Thank you so much for stopping by to read my story. I hope to meet you soon! love, CJ
