My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What is your name?
Turtle

How old are you?
1 year and 4 months old

How much do you weigh?
I am 60 pounds of absolute sweetness.

What do you look like?
I am a gorgeous brindle girl with a white chest and a few white toes. My foster Mom says that I am a beautiful girl!

What do you like to eat?
I eat Grain Free Salmon and Sweet Potato food but I LOVE to eat so any good food would be fine with me!

What kind of personality do you have?
I am a very outgoing, friendly girl who loves everybody that I meet! I walk very well on a leash and am pretty laid back. I also like to go for walks

Describe your perfect day:
I would get up and have breakfast, play outside in the backyard, come in and cuddle with my foster Mom on the couch.

What is your favorite toy?
I love the flirt pole!

Do you know any tricks?
Not yet! My foster Mom says that I am super smart though!

What scares you?
I’m a brave girl! My foster Mom hasn’t found anything that scares me yet.

Have you been around children? Do you like them?
I have not been around children with my foster Mom but she is certain that I would like them. I LOVE everybody that I meet!

Do you like cats?
Not really. I prefer to socialize with dogs please.

How do you feel about other dogs?
I love other dogs!

If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?
On the couch in my Foster Mom’s lap. I love to cuddle!

How is your health?
I am a happy, healthy girl!

Who do you live with your foster home?
I live with my foster Mom and two canine foster brothers and a canine foster sister.

Where do you hang out when you are home alone?
In my foster Mom’s bedroom. I have never chewed up one thing!

Where do you sleep?
In my foster Mom’s bedroom.

Do you like walking on a leash?
I love walking on a leash and my foster Mom says that I am very polite when walking on a leash!

Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard?
My foster Mom says that I am a perfect angel!

Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside)
Yes I am! Otherwise, my Mom would never leave me in her bedroom all day!

Do you like water?
I’m not sure! I don’t care much for baths (But I am a perfect girl and stand there patiently the entire time you are bathing, rinsing and drying me off!).

What do you love about your foster family?
They love me, feed me (and she has BIG cookies!) and give me a soft bed to sleep on! But most of all she LOVES me!

What was your life like before being brought into NorCal Bully Breed Rescue?
I was found wandering the streets of Stockton. I wasn’t in very good condition. I had recently had puppies. I guess they didn’t want me anymore once they got the puppies. Then, the nice people from NorCal Bully Breed Rescue saved me from the shelter and here I am! I know what it is like to be loved now! I would love a forever family to call my very own! I promise that you won’t be sorry if you pick me!

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a "first come, first serve" basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you can visit our website at norcalbullybreedrescue.com and fill out an adoption application (from your home computer). Please allow at least 24 to 48 hours for a reply.

Turtle's adoption fee is $200. She is up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm tested and on preventive, spayed, & microchipped.

Interested in meeting Turtle or any of our available pooches? Complete and submit our adoption application online at norcalbullybreedrescue.com and we'll be in touch!
