My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Calliope is ready to start looking for her forever home. She has had a rough road to get this far. She was found outside the door of a local shelter. She was in a live trap! When I got her the next day she was a tiny little girl, possibly only 5 weeks old. She also had a large wound on her back. Since I was going out of town she went into foster and went into the vet the next day. They thought it was just a wound and placed her on antibiotics. Well, the wound wouldn't heal. She was placed on other meds and she cleared right up. Now she comes back to me. With in a couple of weeks she started with the hair loss on her flank and black again. It clear up on its own only to come back again. She went into the vet again and this time a skin scrap was performed. She had demodex, mange. Well, now that we knew what it was she was place on the proper meds for demodex. We have never seen demodex clear up like hers, on its own, only to come back again. She is now ready for her new home. She is a super playful little girl and will play fine with other pups but needs to be separated for feedings. She also loves cats!!! To the point where she really, really loves the chase. She is up to date with her vaccines and she has been wormed. She is also current with her flea and heartworm prevention and she has been microchipped. She is spayed as well.
