Isabel was turned into the Hayward Shelter as a stray. Once in the shelter she was very afraid of everything and everyone. However, she liked interacting with other dogs. When her foster dad first met her at the shelter, she wanted to have nothing to do with him, pulling on the leash to get away. However, within a few minutes after leaving the shelter, she became a totally different dog, somehow knowing she was saved.

Isabel is a very playful, loving dog with lots of energy. We have no idea what her breed mix is. She may be shy at first with new people, but that quickly changes once she gets to know people. We recommend a household with other playful dogs (she likes to be chased). Children and cats should be no problem.
