Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little cutie is such a sweetheart. She is 14lbs of love. 2 years old and a mix of Jack Russell and dachshund. A little shy at first but quickly warms up and proceeds with the hugging and kissing. She is great with other dogs. Even a little bossy if she thinks they are not behaving. She currently lives with 2 chihuahuas and is keeping them in line.
Zoey walks well on a leash and can go for miles, but at the same time she is not a hyper dog and as much as she enjoys long walks she does not need them. Inside she just wants to follow her person around and waits patiently for a knee to become available. She has been to the dog park and dealt well with all the attention of other dogs, however she was more interested in hanging with her person than playing. Do you see a theme here?
Zoey loves her red polka dot toy bone. Inside she is rarely without it. If she can't find it she won't settle down. Again her toy is not to be played with, it is to be cuddled and used as a soother. If another dog takes it she will engage them in play just long enough to steal it back and take it to her safe place. Washing it has become a bit of a challenge.
Zoey is a little fearful around toddlers but is OK with kids over 6 if they are respectful She is equally good with both male and female adults. However she has never meet a squirrel that she has not tree'd so not suitable for homes with squirrels. She is not a big barker but has a big bark for a small dog.
Please consider opening your home to this little character.
If you would like to meet Zoey-an application, home visit, and adoption fee apply. Thank you
