Micka's Story...
Up for adoption: Micka. This gorgeous girl can be adopted in Texas and New England.

Micka is a 5 year old female black lab who weighs about 80 lbs. Just a big gorgeous dog. She is house and crate trained, knows sit and shake, walks well on a leash, and loves car rides.

She loves other dogs, and does great with kids! She is super smart and a really fun girl to be around! She is laid back but also likes to run around and play fetch. She would make someone a very lucky family! She is up to date on shots, micro-chipped and spayed!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Micka, a Austin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
