Hi, everybody, I'm Henry and here to share a little about my adventures before coming to rescue. A while ago, I did have a home but it wasn't the best home because they didn't love me as much as I loved them. So off I went to find a better home and that’s when my adventure started. For a while, I lived outside and I hurt my leg. Someone found me, contacted C.A.T.S. and I went into this great place called a foster home.

Then next, I went to the vet…I’ve never been to the vet before so I was excited. The doctors checked me, helped my leg and said I am such a good boy that’s ready for adoption. Smart doctors, they are? That was yesterday, the best day of my life!
So my adventure continues as I seek to find my new family. I know they're out there, and when I find them I’m going to love them, sit on their lap all the time, snuggle and make them so happy. We are going to have a lifetime of great adventures together.

***About 2-years-old Henry is as sweet as they come; calm and gentle. Fully vetted, indoor only, and would do best in a home as an only cat. If you think he could be a match for you, please visit our website care4strays.org to complete an application.

About Caring About The Strays Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Since our founding in 1995 by Lynn Cancro, Caring About The Strays (C.A.T.S.), Inc. has worked to find “forever homes” for abandoned, unwanted, neglected, or abused companion animals.

All the animals in our care are in foster homes, which helps socialize the cat or dog and allows us to identify the best type of home for each animal to ensure a successful adoption. We also work to reduce the overpopulation of feral cats with our Trap-Neuter-Release program. In addition, our team also strives to educate the public about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to decrease the number of unwanted pets.

C.A.T.S. is not a shelter in the traditional sense; we rely on private foster homes to house the many unwanted animals in our care.

Our Resale Shop (80 Kinderkamack Road in Westwood, NJ) helps fund our efforts. Please consider donating to our Resale Shop. Donations of brand-new and gently-used items are needed year-round and can be donated during shop hours Monday – Saturday 10:00 – 5:00.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our animals are given wonderful care in private foster homes. In order to meet them, we require a completed application, which you can find at our website, www.care4strays.org.

Also, please check our website for adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in our process is to fill out our online application at our website, www.care4strays.org. Once received, it will be reviewed by one of our trained volunteers. If approved, we'll be in touch to arrange a "meet and greet" with the animal. All of our cats/dogs are in private foster homes.
