Bear's Story...
Bear is a 1 year old, 65 pound handsome blend of Border Collie and Shepherd. Bear was surrendered to a shelter by his elderly owner when he became too frail to take of Bear. Most of Bear's first year was spent in a crate and denied the simplest pleasures of puppyhood.

Bear came to us as a "pancake" dog. With no life experience and no confidence, Bear would just flatten on the ground when unsure of any situation. He is now learning life beyond the crate and enjoying every minute of it.

Bear is good with other dogs but so enjoys the human contact. He is easily corrected for any wrongdoing with just a word.

Bear is a dream on a leas h- never pulling and enjoys a stop to small the roses when his handler does so. Although a little hesitant to enter a vehicle, he is an excellent passenger once inside.

Bear is just a big gentle soul. He would like a home that would cherish him and let him experience all that life has to offer.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Avon Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Avon, or seeking a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
