This adorable lady showed up as a stray and charmed the shelter staff. And we can see why.

Gouda is a polite young lady. We are estimating her age at about 4. She is mellow and sweet, and happy to sit in the background. She gets along with everyone, canine and people alike. To ensure a long and happy life, we are trying to widdle off some extra pounds. But we like to just think of her as "fluffy" for now.

Gouda seems housebroken and easily walks on a leash. We are working on basic commands .

She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. This girl is a gem. If you are interested, please fill out an application.

Check the events page on our website for more information and directions to meet our dogs.

To adopt Gouda, fill out our online dog application , or download our Microsoft Word dog application and return it to sheltersurvivors@live.com

It will help expedite the process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gouda ~ PENDING, a Raritan Chihuahua/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pug for sale in Raritan, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pug dog from a breeder in Raritan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Raritan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Raritan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pug breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Raritan paves the way for another one to be saved.
