MOE is a 3 year old Labradoodle who originally came from a Lab rescue in Kentucky and was adopted locally. In Kentucky he was very social and even attended a prison therapy program. In his new home he developed some behavioral quirks - the family had some devastating losses and we are not sure if his anxiety is a direct result if the stress and emotions going on but we want to give him the benefit of the doubt. Moe did nip 2 small children (neither bite was a fault if his own) and a delivery person who surprised him as he was going out the door on leash. At our adoption center he has been great with the volunteers who have been walking him and cleaning etc with zero concerning behaviors. We will continue to test him out in new situations and hope to move him into a foster home. We feel Moe would do best in an active adult-only home that can continue to get him out and about to keep him social. About CompAnimals Pet Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

Our Adoption Process...

Please visit for more information about the adoption process and our fees. Our application is online, and relatively quick and painless to fill out.
We are a small all volunteer organization. Your e-mail wiil typically receive a quicker response than your phone call.
