Oscar's Story...
"Hello! My name is OSCAR, and I'm a two-year-old Chihuahua/ Corgi blend who's looking for a new friend who'll love me forever. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I appear to be independent when you first meet me, but once I get to know and trust you, I'm a snuggle-bug. I love to go for walks, and you can bet that I'll be a totally loyal pal to my owner. I'll need to find someone who is very patient; someone who'll give me time to settle in at my new home and build trust. I find kids to be too unpredictable, so I'll need to be in an adult home. I have an abundance of love to give, so I hope some nice person out there will give me a chance to show what an affectionate fellow I can be. Maybe that's you! Also, you may be happy to know that I get along well with other dogs. Won't you please come to the El Cajon Animal Shelter so you can get to know me? The nice staff can take us out to the beautiful play yard so we can sit on a bench under the trees and get acquainted. I'm ready for a lifelong loving home, so please come right away. Love, Oscar"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a El Cajon Corgi/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Corgi/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Chihuahua breeders who help with Corgi/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
