Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***Adoption Pending***
EVIE - Female, Hound mix, 1-2yrs, 33lbs
Good with other dogs, cats and kids (6+)
Take a look at this beauty!!! Evie is a stunning girl with one blue eye and one brown eye. This makes her even more special! Evie is very sweet and extremely affectionate. She adores people and loves hugs. Always greets us with happy tail wags. She will jump on you but is quite gentle, so we recommend kids 6+.
Evie would benefit from formal obedience training as she is super smart and needs the mental stimulation. She needs to brush up on her leash manners and is doing well with ‘sit’. She gets into her kennel really well, settles nicely after a few minutes, and sleeps peacefully through the night. She also loves car rides, jumping right in, excited where she might be going and riding quietly the entire time. She loves to be a part of the action and occasionally even falls asleep standing up just to stay a part of it! :) She is a happy-go-lucky, high energy girl who is good with other dogs. Evie is always looking for something to do and is not the type of dog you can put out in the yard and forget about. She needs another higher-energy dog in the home to burn some energy. She is also a bit of a barker when she wants something or when she’s bored, but redirection usually settles her down. Evie has some food guarding with other dogs, but is fine with people, so we feed her in her crate away from other dogs. Evie is also learning not to counter surf. She is a smart girl that would love to learn how to be the best dog she can be. Evie would make a wonderful family pet!
NOTE FROM PREVIOUS SHELTER: Evie has one blue eye and one brown eye. You would think this would make her stand out and get adopted. Nope. Sadly, no one will adopt hounds from the shelter she was at. There are SO MANY hunters there who breed them, they are a dime a dozen. They are harder to adopt than pit bulls there!
***Woof.. Please know that the rescue has posted all the information that they have on me here. As my foster family gets to know me they will post updates, so please check back!
