INDY's Story...
Indy is such a stunning beauty…she is a good dog too…moderately active, mild mannered and fairly quiet (for a Husky) most of the time. She does sound like she is talking to you sometimes though. She is super sweet and she loves people. She looks like a miniature Husky, I don’t know if there is such a thing or not or if she is full blooded or not, but she is definitely a beauty. She’s a great size, only weighing 28 pounds, whereas a female Husky normally weighs 35-50 pounds. Indy needs to be the only dog in the family…on a leash she is ok around other dogs, but she doesn’t like other dogs or cats coming around her kennel. Seems the previous owner had rather dump Indy and her three 3 month old puppies in the local kill shelter than have her spayed. We took care of all of that…she has since been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccines, wormed and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Indy will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She is around 3 years old. Her adoption fee is $400.

Indy is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee does include transportation.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

INDY, a Hartford Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Hartford, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
