My story

Indira is ready for adoption ,she is a 6 year old Presa Canero. Her foster mom writes :
Indira has grown greatly in her short time in foster. We are finding her to be a sweet/kind soul. She should go to an experienced home because of her breed and since her past has included some harsh treatment.
Indira arrived scared of the slightest of touches but she warmed quickly. She adores her people and is very attentive to them. In a matter of days she went from flinching when touched to pushing her head under your hand. New situations, sudden movements or sounds may still cause her to jump but she recovers quickly in her home environment. She will require patience and persistence with introductions to new situations and people so that her confidence can continue to grow.
Indira arrived with a great fear of children. She has warmed up well to my 5 yr old granddaughter nicely. I would recommend no young children and if the home has children they should be dog savvy and respectful as it will take Indira a bit to feel confident around them.
She has been a pleasure on leash – walking at your side and constantly looking to her handler for direction. We are working on sit.
She has shown us hints of wanting to be a very playful dog.
She has been fostered with both male and female dogs and done well. There are two small dogs, a med. dog and a large dog. She has done well with all of them basically she does her own thing but has attempted to play with two of them several times.
She is spayed , and up to date on vaccines
