1/17/16:

Petey is a handsome 18 month old Rat Terrier mix! Petey came to us after a volunteer found him malnourished out in the country woods and with numerous bite marks. He is now a healthy boy and is neutered, vaccinated, and is Heartworm negative!

Petey weighs about 15 pounds and will make a perfect dog for a lucky family. He is a sweet heart and loves to cuddle. He gets along great with other dogs and loves making new friends, and he doesn't mind cats either. He is very playful and happy got lucky and just loves life. He walks great on a leash, and he is very smart as he learns easily and aims to please. He is doing great on his house breaking and hasn't had any accident lately. He is looking for his new family who will cuddle and love him forever!

Our standard adoption fee is $450 which covers:
All age appropriate vaccines (3 DHPP vax)
Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vax
Rabies vax if 12 weeks and older
utd on flea/tick prevention
utd on heartworm prevention
spay or neuter of pet
bi-weekly worming
heartworm test @ age 6 months or older
fostering costs
transport and health certificate

We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21.

Thank you for your wish to rescue, save, adopt and give a furever home to one of our very deserving puppies or dogs!
Once we receive your application you will be able to talk with the foster home to find out all about them!

We are an all volunteer run organization. We do not have a physical shelter as we are strictly a dog rescue organization. The dogs SDAC coordinates adoptions for have come from Mississippi shelters and, regardless of what state the dogs are posted, they ARE FOSTERED IN THEIR SOUTHERN FOSTER HOMES UNTIL ADOPTED, unless we are lucky enough to have a northern foster home, then it will say "In New England" after the dog's name. Most of our lucky dogs and lucky puppies are adopted by families living in the northeast!

All of our dogs arrive with a current Health Certificate, are up to date with vaccinations and are transported on a U.S.D.A. approved transport.

These dogs and puppies all deserve a home who will treat them as family members, who will give them a warm and loving INSIDE home, a soft bed to sleep on, plenty of food, toys to play with, family members to take them for walks and rides and, finally, give them the chance to enjoy the rest of their life.

YOU are their hope, they need YOU to adopt them to complete their lives.
