POKEY HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Meet Pokey, an adorable, very friendly and sweet male 1.5 -year-old Basset/Lab mix, otherwise known as a Bassador! Pokey was originally rescued from a high kill shelter in Kentucky with his brother, Gumby when they were just 4 months old. Both brothers were adopted to families very quickly but unfortunately, Pokey's adopters fell on hard times and could no longer afford to care for him so he was returned to Pal's Place for placement. Pokey is an adorable little fellow with an absolutely wonderful temperament to match. He's around 35 pounds and looks like a mini Yellow Lab! This guy has yet to meet a stranger and greets everyone like a long lost friend! Tail wags and smiles for everyone! He grew up with children and adores their company. He also loves other dogs. We think Pokey will fit in easily to most households and will make an exceptional family companion. He is quiet and well behaved in the home, is crate trained and housebroken and knows a few basic commands! Pokey is anxious to meet you, please fill out an application soon! He is currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment once an application has been received and approved. Pokey's adoption fee is $275. He is up to date with vaccines, flea and heartworm prevention and is neutered and microchipped. He is ready to go home today!
