30 Jan 2017: Meet Domino and Harrison, two sweet boys who have been dealt a bad hand in life. Born on the street and forced to scavenge to survive, both Domino and Harrison have had to struggle their entire lives. Being brought to Second Chance Rescue, they were ready for their second chance! However, after their initial vet visit it was discovered that both were positive not only for FIV, but also FeLV (feline leukemia). How much worse can it get for these lovable boys? FIV alone would have given them the chance for a long, healthy life. Add in FeLV, and now their lives are significantly impaired.
Being contagious to other cats makes it difficult to find them homes, and potential medical needs make it even more challenging. These caring, affectionate boys don’t deserve to spend the rest of their already difficult lives in a cage. Because of this, we are looking for an open-hearted hero willing to give these boys a cage free, loving home as a forever foster. Currently they are healthy and have so much love to give! All medical costs will be covered by Second Chance Rescue for the length of their lives as well as ALL Kitty Supplies. Could you be their hero? Can you show these two boys that life doesn’t have to be hard? Can you show them all the love they deserve and let them give you all the love they have to give while they still have time? Call 917-974-6666 ASAP if you can be their foster even for a short while!

About Second Chance Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, individual, private rescue group dedicated to giving unwanted dogs and cats a second chance. Most of the animals we rescue are strays and or owner surrenders to high kill city shelters. Many of them have been pulled off “death row”. We are very passionate about what we do, we love and care for these animals unconditionally. Our goal is to place our homeless rescues in permanent loving homes as their former owners have already abandoned them at least once before.

Adoption process includes adoption application, phone interview and home visit. Vet references are checked!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a physical shelter, we place our rescues in foster homes or boarding facilities where they are socialized and nurtured back to health before we place them in their forever home. If you are interested in adopting a friend, kindly look at our available pet on this site.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption/Foster Application must be completed online via the link below.

Home visit is required along with Vet references. Our full list of fees have been listed on the adoption application. Our dogs come fully vetted and have to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
