Esmeralda's Story...
Lovely Esmeralda is a stunner. She's a mix of Weimaraner and possibly Doberman, Coonhound or Great Dane. The "mix" in her tones down the typical silver-blue coat in spots so that the fur on her body is black-ish and she even has some brown on her feet. Still, there's no denying she's a beauty!

Esmeralda's owner had to move and couldn't take her. She's a smart girl who knows some basic commands already and is a good listener. She was born in December of 2015 and now weighs 75 lbs.! She's an active gal who has been on runs with some of our volunteers so we know she makes a great running partner!

Esmeralda has some separation anxieties and can't be left in a fenced yard alone or she will find a way out herself! She's a sociable dog who will need an owner who is home more often than not.

Email or call 770-971-0100 for more info. To increase your odds of having first dibs on an animal, fill out an adoption application, found at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Esmeralda, a Marietta Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
