Bessie is a ~6 year old 11 - 12 lb pooch who looks like a Terrier / Dachshund mix. See her in action! https://youtu.be/qdD5-KN0hqg
We rescued Bessie from a high-kill shelter where she was out of time. Bessie's foster mom says "Bessie is just delightful. She is responding to the name Bessie, and is very friendly. She puts her little paws up on my knee to greet me, and loves having tummy rubs. She is completely house trained. She is great with my husband, and is happy for him to pet her. She is just a wonderful wee soul."
Bessie gets along well with some dogs, but not so great with other dogs. She may prefer to be the Queen of the Castle in her forever home.
Bessie is being fostered in San Carlos. Her adoption fee is $50. She is spayed, dewormed, up to date on vaccinations, and just had her teeth cleaned in March 2017! Her adoption fee will be discounted to $25 for senior citizens.

Tailchaser Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing cats and dogs from shelters where they are in danger. Our foster volunteers provide loving temporary homes for our rescued animals until they are adopted.
By adopting a cat or dog, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the animal, which can be up to 20 years or more! We are committed to placing our rescued animals with families who are prepared for the responsibility of owning an animal for its entire lifetime, so that they are never again at the mercy of the shelter system.
