My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dolly is a female 12 yr old Female Golden Retriever.

Here is what her foster family has to report after her first night with GRFR:

"Dolly is very easy to live with! She curled up and took a nap on the ride home, car rides are fine with her! She made friends with the 3 resident dogs and settled down on a dog bed to observe just how this house works. She discovered the toy basket is in reach of the dog bed so she tried out a few toys. She loves squeaky toys and tennis balls!
In fact, she will do a (happy dance) for you if you hold the tennis ball! It's adorable!

Dolly seems much younger than 12. She has great energy to play and chase tennis balls in the yard. She is social and friendly. Dolly is house trained, no accidents! She slept nicely on a dog bed with a blanket in master bedroom. She let me know she needed a trip outside at 5:30. She went out, did her business and I told her it was still sleep time so
she hopped back in bed! She is very hungry. Poor thing has spent some time hungry. She takes treats very gently for a starving pup. I am feeding her apart from the other dogs until she settles in. She has some weight to put on! Her
personality is pure joy and she is very grateful for her new digs.

She was very easy to groom! She loved her bath and let me blow dry her. I trimmed her Grinch feet and will get those long nails trimmed later today. Her fur is a beautiful buff color and very soft. She seems very at ease with dryers, vacuums and household noises. She is very lovable
and easy going! She seeks out attention and loves to put her head on your leg and look up at you! She lays under the table when people are eating and watches what the humans are up to. She walks nicely on a leash and sits for treats. She also enjoys having her picture taken and being the center of attention!

Dolly sat next to my 16 year old son and watched him pack his bag for school. She then watched him through the front window! She will be a lovable, playful companion for some lucky person!

Dolly has tested positive for Heartworm. She will be seen by a GRFR vet soon. Check back for updates on this sweet girl!
