Hattie Mae's Story...
Meet Hattie Mae!
Miss Hattie was found as a stray and ended up in a dog shelter, and finally found her way to rescue. Hattie is 15 years old, and 15lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all of her shots, and on heart worm prevention. She does have a fatty tumor that will need to be removed soon, she has dry eyes and requires an over-the-counter moisturizing ointment each day for them. She has some arthritis, dry skin, hair loss, and a cough from poor living conditions, all of which she is currently getting treatment for. She is house trained. Hattie is good with other dogs, cats, and people. She is sweet and pretty spunky for an old girl! If you would like to give this special girl a home to live out the rest of her days, please apply for adoption at Her adoption fee is $150. You can contact her foster family with questions at She is being fostered in western KY. Thank you for supporting rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hattie Mae, a Jackson Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
