Meet the very beautiful Haven! Haven was found by one of our very best fosters in a sad situation. Haven obviously did not come from somewhere that treated her right as she was found running on a VERY busy road with a chain still attached to her. She is very thin, & of course was overloaded with Parasites, as well as covered in fleas. She has had all of her vetting now & is no longer missing any meals. Have is between 2-3 years old and weighs about 42 pounds now (remember she will be putting on some weight). Her foster mom says she is a total LOVER! All she wants to do is hug & snuggle. It’s pretty obvious she has never been part of a real family inside a home. It’s sad when you throw the tennis ball for her and she has no idea what to do. The other dogs in the foster home are teaching her the ways though so she’ll get there in no time. Haven has hit it off with most of the dogs in her foster family’s home, but she isn’t a fan of the really hyper, in your face type of dog (who is really?!) She needs a laid back doggie companion that won’t overwhelm her. She needs to be separated from other dogs at feeding time, in her kennel. She probably didn’t get much food where she came from. She is really great, though!! We’d like to find her the best home with a securely fenced yard and her foster mom will teach her what it is like to have endless love. She’s so deserving of being spoiled. She is completely housebroken & does surprisingly well being crated. She is so special. She is in a foster home in NC and can be transported to either MD or NJ, when an approved adopter is found.
