Meet the very beautiful Haven! Haven was found by one of our volunteers running on a busy road with a chain attached to her. After searching for her owner and doing a stray hold with the local Animal Control, The Last Resort has taken her into our program, and what a lovely girl she is! Haven is between 2-3 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. Her foster mom says she is a total LOVER! All she wants to do is hug & snuggle. The other dogs in her foster home are teaching her the ways. She is house trained, crate trained and knows basic commands. She is food motivated and very smart so training comes easy. Haven has hit it off with most of the dogs in her foster family’s home, but prefers laid back doggie companions. We feed her separate from other dogs and she eats in her crate. We’d like to find her the best home with a securely fenced yard or someone who will get her lots of exercise on a leash. She’s good on a leash using an easy walk harness but we advise against having kids walk her. Haven does like children but not small animals. She is a talker so no apartments please. This girl is just so special. She is in a foster home in NC and can be transported to either MD or NJ, for an approved adopter so apply today! www.thelastresortrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm
