Teddy's Info...

Teddy's Story...
"Teddy" is a handsome adult male Shepherd mix who arrived at the HSOV on January 31, 2017 after a Good Samaritan found him in the Marietta Ohio area (Waterford Road/Gilman Avenue vicinity) and brought him to the safety of our shelter. This good-looking guy has a black short smooth coat with brindle highlights, white markings on his chest/paws, a long bushy tail, and an adorable face with a brindle mask and short floppy ears. "Teddy" has the most beautiful brown 'teddy bear' eyes :) He appears to have a calm, quiet disposition and is friendly. "Teddy" was a little too intimidated to walk outdoors for his photo session, so we chose to let him relax in his blanket-filled kennel where he was most at ease. He wags his tail ever so gently when you talk to him in a quiet, soft-spoken voice. "Teddy" weighs 74.6 lbs. He is now available for adoption since he was not reclaimed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Marietta Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
