Adopting A Shelter Dog
These dogs come without background histories/ past medical information. We present these dogs as we have observed in relationship to age, size, breed, behavior, housebreaking, crate training, good with children, cats, dogs, and strangers. Dogs may present themselves differently in different environments, therefore The Dog Spot Rescue, their agents, volunteers, can not guarantee behavior, age, size expectations, breed, house Training, destructive behavior tendencies, and/or medical issues. All dogs from shelters have been subjected to pathogens from the shelter level which can materialize into disease in the future. Each adopter must observe for themselves pre-adoption and make decisions for themselves the suitability of said dog and their tolerance levels for transitional time when adopting a shelter dog. We ask that each adopter take their time when making the choice to bring home a rescued dog.
Snoopy is a fun loving, butter fly chasing, snuggle in your lap puppy who is looking for HOME. No back story on how he got into a small shelter off the beaten track. Thankful he found his way to our rescue and is now safe and ready for his new family to find him. A single pup, he has a very beagle face and personality but a very petite body frame like a little italian greyhound . A great dog for child or a family of children. He is open, has a great spirit, loves adventure, silly. Snoopy is shy and quiet at first but quickly perks up.
Snoppy is looking for what escapes most puppies- a forever home with the same family through puppyhood to old age. A family or person who knows that dogs are not disposible and will provide a home and heart through thick and thin. Snoppy will need a good routine, a safe place to be when no one is home, puppy classes, continued opportunities to meet kids, cats, other dogs, strangers to be the best adult dog he can be. In return, he will give years of wonderful memories and love.
Adoption is $375.00 which includes his neuter, shots to date of adoption, bordetella, rabies, de worming treatment, and a chip.

Please Note: Shelter/rescue dogs have been exposed to many pathogens such as kennel cough, parasites, diseases and conditions some of which may not have been discovered prior to adoption. Any dog that shows symptoms here at TDS are routinely identified, taken for tests and treatment. Our vet bills can exceed $10,000 a month. However, without symptoms, we may miss a disease, or pre-existing condition or parasite. Consider carefully if you have the tolerance for these possibilities. We consider, you, the adopters, the last leg of the rescue process.
