Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.**
Meet sweet Penelope. She was a skinny, scared stray dog found in the middle of the road, covered in fleas and ticks. Penelope is still trying to figure out how to interact with dogs appropriately. She wants to play but will act slightly pushy, barking and play bowing, and will get right in the other dog's face. She has not quite learned to "dog" properly but is making progress. We believe once she adjusts to her new home she'll be fine with another dog if they'll just be patient with her. There are several cats in her foster home, and she knows which ones she can play with and which ones to avoid. :)
Penelope is crate trained and about 90% housetrained. She has had only 1 accident in her foster home in 3 weeks.
At 1 year old and approximately 10 lbs, Penelope is still very much a puppy. She LOVES going for walks, which she is doing now for at least 20 minutes every day. She does zoomies across the length of her backyard every time she goes out. She is crated when her foster isn't home and settles down quickly.
Penelope is very loving and smart. We think she may be a chihuahua/rat terrier mix.
If you would like to adopt this sweet brave girl, please fill out an application at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.com. Penelope's adoption fee, including transportation with vetting paperwork, microchip registration to adopter, collar & harness, is $500 CDN. DOGS 8 MONTHS OLD AND UNDER MUST BE PICKED UP IN BUFFALO BY THE ADOPTER(S).
Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio, Texas. This dog is being fostered in the San Antonio area. Additional photos and videos will be made available to potential adopters upon approval of our online adoption application.
