HISTORY: PARKER 2 was found hungry and tired, trying to survive on the streets of Santa Fe. We tried to locate PARKER's owners, but unfortunately his chip contact info was not updated. It was also discovered that PARKER 2 had elevated thyroid values. He subsequently received I-131 treatment from a specialist at VCA in Albuquerque in July 2016 to hopefully eliminate the need for Methimazole. PARKER 2 is currently on a daily pill to stabilize his low thyroid and it is hoped that he will not require this medication much longer. While he is on a kidney friendly diet, he is otherwise healthy and ready for a new home. We plan to recheck his thyroid and kidney values at the end of February.
TEMPERAMENT: PARKER 2 is very sweet and loving, and very friendly with anyone who will give him attention. He gets along well with other cats as well as gentle dogs. PARKER 2 is a handsome kitty with a short coat and brown tabby markings with a white chest and mittens in the tuxedo pattern.
