Daphne's Story...
Daphne is a tiny little lady looking for a loving family of her own. She is a young Dachshund and possibly Min Pin or Chihuahua mix who was born in the beginning of October, 2016 and is just under 10lbs.

She is very sweet and just wants to be around people. Daphne is very loving and fun to play with, she likes toys that squeak but does not like the cold weather. She is very delicate and wants to be near people. Daphne loves to play with her foster brother who is a Pomeranian and other dogs but when big dogs bark it does frighten her and she will run to hide. She is doing great with crate training and will only cry a little but then fall asleep.

Adoption fee $300, apply to adopt at causeforcanines.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daphne, a Columbus Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
