Greetings Peeps, I’m Maddie! I’m a 6-month old Dachshund/Beagle mix and I weigh 20-pounds. Before I got in with the good folks at Mobile Mutts Rescue, I came from KY as an owner surrender. The way I see it is, their loss is YOUR gain! I love dogs, meeting new does scare me and once I trust, belly rubs are my favorite! I think cats are cool and I’m working real hard at my house training skills and I’ve already done much better this week! I look forward to meeting you, just make sure to bring treats and I really hope you have another dog, I gain my confidence from them and love to play!

About Our Rescue Group...

MOBILE MUTTS RESCUE was born from our successful Volunteer Based Rescue Transport which has operated in the midwest since 2008. It fulfills our volunteers desire to "do more" to help dogs in high kill shelters in the south move to the safety of foster based rescues. We are based out of Champaign IL and operate in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Our Adoption Process...

THE ADOPTION PROCESS; We often hear people in the community complaining that it is "harder" to adopt a rescue dog than it is to adopt a child. i'm not sure that I agree with that analogy, however I do admit that the process of adopting a rescue can be daunting. What you need to keep in mind is this, our furkids have already been through traumatic experiences, they have often been abandoned or abused in the past and we are here to make sure that they never have a "bad day again" and end up alone and frightened or in a shelter ever again. We are their voice and their advocates. We are the front line defending them from those who would hurt them. So, as you move through the adoption process and prepare to open your heart and home to one of our furkids, please remember that although your home may be the best possible home for you, our job is to make sure it's the best possible home for them.

The first step in the process is to complete a non-binding adoption application at: and let us know which of our dogs you are interested in meeting; The Application is the first step in Adopting one of our dogs, but does not guarantee adoption.

You will work with an adoption coordinator who is often a member of the foster family to complete the approval process and if approved, we will begin to transition the furkid to your home! Please remember, we are committed to making this a smooth transition for our furkids, and for you!
