Hi, I’m Beamer. Four other kittens and I were rescued by Animal Control and luckily came to the SBACC where we were safe, warm, and well-fed while waiting for our forever homes. I was the smallest of the group and more scared and shy. All the kittens I arrived with have been adopted. I am now all grown up and in a room with the other grown-up cats. I have been having a lot of fun zooming around the room, playing, and spending time with my roommates. I am still nervous around people, and I don’t allow pets or being picked up, but I LOVE other cats and can’t wait for my very own forever home. I really, really need a home with another kitten or cat. cat

Dog adoptions include a written application and an on site interview. All family members, including other resident dogs, must meet the new dog.

The adoption process for cats and kittens includes:
A detailed application.
An interview with the potential adopter(s).
And a home visit, in some circumstances.

To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.

More about this shelter

We are an all-volunteer, no-kill, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats lost within our city limits. We are a California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138 so all donations are tax-deductible.

We are always in need of volunteers and have many areas in which you can share your talents. Please attend one of our volunteer classes to get started.
