My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

****DONATIONS APPRECIATED: This cocker girl has had her FHO/Luxated Patella surgery and a dental done thanks to adoption money and a few donations that came in  to help with her costs.  She is doing well and only needs about 2 more weeks of recovery time before she can go to a home. Please donate today to help us with vet costs.  Any donation amount will help, please mail to:  CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081, or you can call your donation into the rescue vet:  Cabarrus Animal Hospital at:  704-786-6102 and tell them you would like to make a donation to Donna Carpenter's rescue account.  We thank you for your kindness!

My name is Pecas (it means freckles).  I am a tri-colored cocker spaniel girl. with a natural tail. I turned 2 in December of 2016.  I came to rescue with cherry eyes as an owner give up along with another cocker girl. My owner got me as a young puppy. This other girl cocker and I lived outside in a barn with livestock and cats and neither of us did well with them. I have never lived inside a house.  My owner was sad to give us up but she wanted to do the right thing so that we could have a better, happier, more comfortable life.

I am heartworm negative and I am now spayed. I came here with bi-lateral cherry eyes that have now been fixed. On another visit to the vet, these folks learned that I needed FHO/Luxated Patella surgery and a dental.  These issues have now been done and I am almost ready to find my forever home. I want to be a good companion for you to adopt and love. You will need to be patient with me on house training and help me with socialization skills and leash training. I will do best with children age 10 and older.  I am a sweet girl, lovable and smart. I  will need a home with a securely fenced yard.  I do not like cats and cannot be around any kind of livestock. Please give me the  2nd chance that I deserve to find a loving home where I can learn to be a good indoor companion.  Maybe I am the new best friend that you have been looking for......I would love to be your sweet baby girl.

NO CATS AND NO BARNYARD LIVESTOCK FOR THIS COCKER GIRL.  She will do best with children 10 and older.  Needs socialization and house training help. She has had a good recovery from her surgery and is just 2 weeks away from being able to find her new home.  Please give her a 2nd chance to be a wonderful companion for you to love.......maybe she is the best friend you have been looking for.

If you are interested in adopting this nice cocker girl, please send an email message to: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300, which includes all of the vetting needs for this dog while in our care at the rescue.
