Errol's Story...
This rakishly handsome fellow is Errol and he is hoping to find his loving forever home. Errol was very shy when he first came to the shelter and he is still in the process of warming up. As he's gained some confidence, he has gotten more comfortable with being pet and seems particularly fond of having his ears rubbed. He is a largely independent cat that will check in on you from time to time for some attention. Errol can be quite talkative if he feels the situation warrants it. Errol seems fairly at ease in the company of other cats and would likely benefit from having a laid-back cat friend. He would prefer a home without dogs as he finds them to be overwhelming. Errol will also do best in a home with teenagers or adults only who will give him the time he needs to settle in and flourish. If you are interested in getting to know Errol, please come to the front to fill out an adoption application today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Errol, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
