Simone's Story...
8/28/08 Simone is a lovely, graceful, quiet lady who loves to follow her humans around and watch birds outside the window. She is a 7-year old flame point bicolor with light blue eyes. She was sent to us from an out of state shelter where she had been for almost 4 months, and she was starting to get very fearful of humans from the stress of being caged in the shelter environment. Now that she has been moved to foster care in a family home, her sweet personality is emerging once again, although she is still quite shy and will probably need a long adjustment time in a new home. Her foster mom is working with her to regain her trust and to re-direct her from biting, but this may take a few months and so Simone is not recommended for children under 10. She is comfortable around cats and dogs, but does not socialize with other animals very much. Our shelter does not condone declawing, but unfortunately Simone was already declawed by a previous owner. For more information, call Simone's foster mom at 503-777-8621. This cat requires an indoor-only home. If you are interested in adoption, please fill out our preliminary screening application here:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simone, a Keizer Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Keizer, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Keizer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Keizer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Keizer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Keizer paves the way for another one to be saved.
