Daisy Mae's Story...
Meet precious Daisy Mae! Daisy Mae is a seven week old puppy and will not be available for adoption until she's between 8 and 12 weeks of age. Daisy is so cute. Daisy loves people, other dogs and has ignored cats. She's still a puppy so if you want a puppy and a kitty now is the time to adopt both so they can grow up together! Daisy is being socialized with her sister by her foster Mom. She's learning quickly, eating puppy food and strutting her stuff around the house. We believe Daisy Mae will be a small adult - perhaps under 10 pounds or smaller. She's at two pounds now. Daisy will be spayed, up to date on vaccines, fully dewormed and microchipped prior to adoption. We are asking a $250 adoption fee for this sweet girl to cover her vetting. All potential adoptions require a home check and although homes with very small children are not excluded, they will be evaluated for compatibility. If you are interested in this sweet girl, please email Robin at Robin at Robin@almosthome4ever.com We've had a lot of interest in Daisy Mae and she will go to the first person who completes our adoption process including placing a 50% hold on her. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy Mae, a Sacramento Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
