My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cammie came to the shelter at the end of December, rescued from a small colony of cats that were being cared for by a Good Samaritan. She is a very shy cat, but we are able to pet her and hold her and give her kisses, and she really enjoys sitting in a lap. But she is not at all outgoing — she won’t come to us, but instead waits for us to go to her, pick her up, and plop her in a lap for some love. When we put her down, she does not hide under or behind the cages, but finds a cozy to curl up in until it’s time for her to go back into the dreaded cage that is her temporary (we hope!) home. She is very fond of the other cats, and reads their moods very well. She especially enjoys when one joins her in a cozy to curl up together. She never makes any trouble, and would probably make a very good and happy companion to another cat, even if it might take her a long time to be so social with a human companion. But at only 2 years of age, Cammie has a lot of time to form a lifelong bond with her humans as well. She just needs patience and love.

Cammie is box-trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.
