I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Scooter's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Scooter's Story...
Scooter is very affectionate.
He is a sweet boy that is learning about the world around him. New things make him a little scared; like the shiny trash can at the vet office where he could see his own reflection... Once he figured it out they were best friends. He would love to be a lap dog, at 60lbs, he thinks it is fine. He doesn't look 60lbs, he wears it very well. His sister is Daisy who is also up for adoption. They would love to stay together but can certainly be adopted separately. Scooter needs to learn the basics like walking on a leash and not trying to stop and grab all the interesting things he finds along the way. This boy has a lot of love to give. Can he give it to you? He's a 1 years old Border Collie/Heeler mix.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooter, a Austin Border Collie/Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Blue Heeler for sale in Austin, or seeking a Border Collie/Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Border Collie/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
