Max's Info...

Max's Story...
Max is an adoring, warm-hearted boxer/pit mix who is ready to be your devoted companion. A gentle, amicable soul, he adapts well to moods. If you are in need of a lazy afternoon or a chill evening, this sweet-hearted doggie will contentedly lay at your feet or softly rest his head in your lap. If a brisk walk or a run is more your pace, he will happily keep pace with you. Max is two years old. He was adopted as a pup but dumped on an abandoned property when his owners couldn't afford to feed him. He was found starving, emanciated, and surviving off of carcassas of wild animals. Despite all this, his forgiving, loyal heart is full of hope and quick to love. He loves kids and does well with other animals and readily accepts dogs and cats into his pack. Rascal is house broken, crate trained, and waiting to find his forever home. If you are ready for your heart to be stolen, he's the perfect dog for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Austin Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
