Spice Girl!'s Story...
This is one of the happiest dogs we've had at our rescue. Spice Girl, also known as Candy, loves her meals and loves to graze around on the lawn. Really, we're beginning to wonder if she isn't part cow! She enjoys hanging out in the yard in the sunshine, nibbling grass and sniffing around. And she will never let you forget when it is mealtime! She has a lot to say if she thinks you've forgotten!

Our spicy little girl is super friendly with all people. She is quite small, which is hard to show in her pictures. She is only about 12-14' tall and weighs about 30 lbs. She is short, stocky, and solid. Spicy Candy just loves attention from her people, including pets and belly rubs. She is super nice with every dog she has met here at the rescue ranch, even those who are not as accommodating with other dogs. She tolerates their silliness and never gets upset.

Spice Girl has lived with dog-savvy, confident cats. But she gets way to interested in small, furry things that run away fast so she cannot be in a home with skitters kitties. Our Amos cat likes her and will rub on her and everything. Candy Spice loves people of all shapes and sizes and would be very happy to have her own kid(s).

Candy Spice is spayed, microchipped, tested heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations.

To learn more about this dog and apply to adopt from our rescue, please email martakingsbury@yahoo.com.

Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTER CARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. Please EMAIL to receive our adoption questionnaire!

This rescue is a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spice Girl!, a Sacramento Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
