Well helllooooo! Nice to see that you are stopping by to read about me! I'm Lewis, a ~1 year old retriever blend who is bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! Oh, wait. That's Tigger. But me, too! Some of my best friends say I am immensely social and sweet. See, it is possible to be absolutely wonderful on the inside and out! (I'm told I'm dashingly handsome!).
I love having my chest rubbed. One of my best friends was spending time with me in Providence Animal Center's Real Life Room. I was on the couch and she sat on the floor kissing my nose while I held my toy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a love that just needs some exercise and a fair amount of basic training, but with work, I'll be PERFECT. I have a heart of gold and I love people's approval.
I'm friendly and playful with other dogs. Check me out playing with my buddy, Bruno - https://youtu.be/d4YtAmcYnS8. Everyone in my forever home would be happiest if any kids are 8 and older because they will be big enough to play with me and also help with training me. In case you can't tell, I REALLY want to be a good boy - the BEST boy! I need a home without any kitties, though. I want to play with them too much. I am up to date on my vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. I weigh about 62 pounds.
I hope to meet you soon so we can begin our fun happily-ever-afters together!
*Oops! PS a generous donor loves me so much that they have sponsored my adoption fee! That means I can go home to a loving forever family for free!*
Providence Animal Center is funded solely by adoption fees and donations. Adoption fees vary per animal, please call the Adoption Center and reference this animal's ID number in order to obtain accurate fee information. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed blend for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed blend. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
To foster or adopt this dog please call Providence Animal Center at 610-566-1370 during adoption hours. You may also email email@example.com. Can't foster or adopt? Donate to help our homeless pets, www.providenceac.org/donate.
Our adoption requirements and a printable application form may be found on our website. With your adoption fee you get a lot for FREE! All the pets adopted from Providence Animal Center are given wellness exams, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Additionally, dogs over 7 months old are heartworm tested and all felines are tested for FELV/FIV. Adopters may receive discounted wellness care from our adoptions health department, and also get a complimentary wellness visit at a participating private veterinary practice up to 30 days post-adoption and the pets are given personality evaluations. It doesn't stop there- a gift of one month of pet health insurance is included along with unlimited phone consultations and e-mail exchanges with our trained feline and canine behavior experts.
Not ready to adopt yet? You can still guarantee the safety and well-being of any of our dogs or puppies by temporarily fostering one or more right in your own home. Visit our foster page to learn about the program. Then, email your application along with any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org for immediate review.
