Facts about Dakota

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Dakota was part of a litter of seven beautiful sweet babies left starving along with their mother when someone moved. A nice citizen contacted us and helped us get them trapped. All were healthy and sweet, but Dakota was elusive - he was outdoors alone so it has been much harder for him to learn to be indoors. He is very sweet with his foster, even allowing nail clipping, but terrified of the outside world. His foster mom is sure he will be the greatest cat in a few weeks or if a patient experienced adopter gives him lots of emotional support. Very sweet natured, purrs, makes biscuits, just very timid. Gorgeous cat.

About Grand Prairie CAT CREW

About Our Rescue Group...

We are primarily a TNR program and provide support for local shelter animals. We are working to reduce homelessness among cats and to increase the Live Release Rate in our local shelter. We have a social media presence and participate in special events throughout the year.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Meetings are by appointment only. We do occasionally show our pets in local pet stores. Our pets are in foster homes, where it is best to meet them.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an application, contractt and standard $100 adoption fee. We reduce fees occasionally. We ask all cats be indoor only and do not adopt to anyone wanting to declaw a cat. Adopter must demonstrate understanding of cats, cat behavior and cat needs. We ask for animals to be returned to us if there are any problems.
