Domestic Shorthair Kitten for adoption in Grand Prairie, Texas - Dakota

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Dakota's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Dakota's Story...
Dakota was part of a litter of seven beautiful sweet babies left starving along with their mother when someone moved. A nice citizen contacted us and helped us get them trapped. All were healthy and sweet, but Dakota was elusive - he was outdoors alone so it has been much harder for him to learn to be indoors. He is very sweet with his foster, even allowing nail clipping, but terrified of the outside world. His foster mom is sure he will be the greatest cat in a few weeks or if a patient experienced adopter gives him lots of emotional support. Very sweet natured, purrs, makes biscuits, just very timid. Gorgeous cat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota, a Grand Prairie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Grand Prairie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Grand Prairie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Prairie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Prairie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Prairie paves the way for another one to be saved.
