My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a very sweet, little 25# tri-color boy who, with a little love and patience, would make a great best friend. I am able to ride in a car if you are fond of adventures and do well when crated. I appear to be approximately 3 years old, am potty trained, and of course absolutely adorable!

I’ve been with my foster family since 12/19/16 and am learning a lot and having fun along the way. I was very shy and scared the first few days, not moving out of my bed or even wanting to eat (just watching everyone). Since then I’ve come along way. I’ve learned to fetch my toys, I’ve been on some walks, I enjoy eating (of course, I’m a beagle), I like to shred the newspaper, and I like to just sit with my family. I even had a visit from Santa who left me lots of treats and new toys. I still have a long way to go, however, as I am still unsure of many things including men. I may even give them a little growl as I am backing away. I am very scared of many sounds such as crinkling a water bottle and starting a fire in a fireplace but my foster family feels that with love and understanding I will realize that all new things are not scary.

I recently went to an inside Midwest BREW event where I met other dogs like me, some were very vocal and I was shy and kept to myself a lot. I look forward to someday being able to play freely with other dogs and make some new friends. If you have room in your heart and home for a curious but shy little boy who still has a lot of exploring and learning to do, I’m your guy.
