Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Junior is a friendly, happy dog who is 9-10 years old and weighs 55 lbs. Junior is in great health other than a couple fatty tumors and acts like a much younger dog. He has no problem with stairs, no signs of arthritis, and only pretends to be hard of hearing when he doesn’t want to come inside. He always has a smile on his face. Who wouldn’t want that smile greeting them at the door every time they come home? He is great with other dogs and people, but sometimes he will chase the cat if they run. If your cat is not afraid or hostile towards dogs, there shouldn’t be a problem. He’s fine with my friendly cat, they even sleep together sometimes.
Junior is welcoming to new fosters, but knows when other dogs need their space. He is great with young children and loves the attention he receives from them. He also doesn’t jump up on people. He is most excited when it’s time for a walk and will soon after conk out for a nap. His two favorite things are food and walks.
Junior is housebroken, walks well after the initial excitement wears off and does not bark much. When he first came to my house he did mark a couple times, but with daily walks, that hasn’t happened again. You can take him with you anywhere and you won’t have to worry about his behavior. He’s allowed to sleep in my room at night and has free access to the house when home alone.
He’d really be a wonderful dog for anyone, especially a new dog owner. He has a nice, soft coat that he’ll shed 1-2 times a year. Junior does not like to share his food though so he needs to be fed separately from other dogs. He has no problem with people being around his food. That’s pretty much it as far as downsides with this dog. He has an excellent temperament, very tolerant and patient. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. If you’d like more information on Junior, please contact Teresa @ 630-815-1440. His adoption fee is $100.
