Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tessa is a one year old female rottie that comes to us from a sad situation. Her prior owner was arrested for animal cruelty for not feeding her and the other 23 rotties in the home. Tessa spent most of her time in a basement we were told. Tessa is great with other dogs, male and female and she learns from them. She bonds with other dogs before people and therefore, would be best placed in a home with a social dog. Tessa is scared of new people, you cannot blame her due to what she has been through. She will not come up to you initially, it takes some time. She loves her foster mom but it took time for Tessa to trust her. Tessa is looking for a patient, loving home that is willing to take all new things slow with Tessa. Once she trusts you it is the most incredible bond. Tessa's foster mom just loves her! She warms up quicker with woman. She is a flight risk, so a fenced in yard is best. For those of you that know the Wallkill rottie case, Tessa is like that. No small children for Tessa, she is in foster with teenagers.
