Kirby's Story...
IHellllooooo, I'm Kirby. I am a wee young man at just 3 years old with a big personality. I can be a little shy at first but once I warm up I'm a big lover boy. I can get a little jealous when other dogs are on my moms lap but she says I am getting much better. Mom says I'm smart too because I use the doggy door and listen well. I am fully house trained I get anxiety when ma goes away and not fond of being in my kennel as I would rather be out doing something like playing with my other dog friends or running around outside. I love to eat and treats are my fav. Ma says I could learn a lot of fun things if someone takes the time to teach me. I'm not sure what a cat is though and I don't think small children would be a good fit for me. I'm not as scared of things as I used to be and I'm having a good time at ma's. I can bark when someone comes to the door but once they are in, I'm okay. If your looking for some sunshine in your life and love to cuddle and play, I might be the one! I'm up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt me here: https://rescueofhope.com/adoption-application/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kirby, a Grand Rapids Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
