My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet Kiki, who was born 9-1-2013. She is a gorgeous girl, with such a gentle soul you will totally fall in love with her She is friendly, sweet, and very gentle. She was surrendered by her owner because she needed surgery to have stones removed and the owner couldn't afford it or didn't want to do it. She paid for the euthanasia and the vet just couldn't put her down because the was so sweet. Shes a total cuddler and loves being petted. She will cuddle up to you at night and just purrrs away. She thrives in quiet homes so we feel a home without young children or other cats and dogs would be best. In a loud, busy home, she hides We want Kiki to thrive and be happy, and we feel in a quieter setting she will be an awesome companion. We also want adopters to be happy. If you have a quiet home with no young children or other pets, you will fall in love with Kiki!

She has now had her surgery, and she will need to be on prescription food for the rest of her life to assure the stones to not come back. The prescription Royal Canin SO comes out to $4.3 per pound when comparing a small bag to Purina Pro Plan Shredded Blend which is a medium grade food at $3.67 per pound. You will receive a prescription card to purchase the food at Petsmart, but it might be cheaper if purchased through your vet.

Kiki was very matted and not well taken care. She had to be shaved down, but she gave the groomer no trouble at all. Her fur will grow back. Long haired kitties need to be brushed regularly or they will get matted. If you don't think you have the time for regular brushing, Kiki isn't the kitty for you.

Kiki's foster mom lives in South Aurora, IL. Which is where you would go to meet her. All family members must be present at the meet and greet to adopt. In order to schedule a meet and greet, please submit and adoption application which can be found on-line at angelsonwheels.org under the applications tab. Once we receive the application we will process it .

Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but is required prior to making arrangements for a meet and greet as all of our animals are cared for in homes. We can't schedule meet and greets until the application is submitted and approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The adoption fee is $125.00
